This page describes the contact and browser features used by Alec Reimel’s portfolio at alecreimel.com. Questions about this page or information you have sent can be emailed to alecreimel@gmail.com.

Contact messages

When you submit a contact form, the information you enter is sent to Web3Forms to deliver your message. The form includes your name, email address, message, optional phone number and subject, preferred contact method, and privacy agreement selection. Please avoid including passwords or other sensitive information in your message.

I use contact information to read and respond to your inquiry. If you use the email link instead, your message is handled by your email service and my email provider. See Web3Forms’ privacy policy for information about its processing of submissions.

Browser preferences

The site uses local storage to remember display choices, including theme and terminal effects. It also uses session storage for animation settings and to avoid repeating the loading animation during a browsing session. These values are stored in your browser. You can clear them using your browser’s site data settings; doing so resets saved preferences.

Analytics

The site loads Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to measure page visits and interactions. These services receive technical information about your visit, such as your browser, pages requested, and connection information. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits and measure use of the site. The tags loaded by Tag Manager are managed separately from the website source code.

See Google’s privacy policy for information about Google’s processing. Browser privacy settings or content blockers may limit third-party requests. Display preferences and the direct email link can be used independently of Tag Manager.

Hosting and external links

Requests to this website pass through its hosting infrastructure, which may process technical request information such as IP address and browser details to serve pages and maintain the service. Links to GitHub, project websites, and other external services take you to sites with their own privacy practices.

For questions about a message you sent, or to request correction or deletion of information you provided, contact alecreimel@gmail.com. Include enough context to identify the message without sending unnecessary personal information. Service providers handle information according to their own policies.
